Eliminate Emotional Triggers Forever
Through EFT/Meridian Tapping
Use This Simple
Technique To Deal With Any
Emotional Struggle You May Have
Getting to the root of what got you
into your addiction is not necessary. But it is important to
figure out what triggers you today to want to use your
addiction. Sometimes it’s as simple as a feeling of anxiety,
fear, or some other emotion that you don’t know how to
handle.
A new technique on how to handle
emotional issues has been discovered within the past few
decades. It is very effective, yet few people know about it.
I explain this technique in chapter 4 of my book.
For those of you who have not read my
book, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is similar to
acupuncture, but it is done by using your fingertips to tap
on certain areas of your body (meridians) to relieve the
build-up of emotions.
I learned about EFT in
the fall of 2008. Like anything new that I learn about, I
was skeptical at first as to how it could work. But I was so
frustrated with dealing with some computer problems that
were stopping me from going forward in my ministry that I
was willing to try anything. I was careful to examine this
approach to make sure that it was not some type of “New Age”
approach or anything that is contrary to Scripture.
Having convinced myself
that this approach was safe, I decided to give it a try. I
used it for my frustrations at not being able to do certain
things on the computer. I had bought some software that I
did not know was incompatible with my other software I use,
and it caused so much frustration that I wouldn’t even try
to work on the problem. I was amazed at how EFT worked
immediately, and the results lasted.
I began to use EFT for
other issues in my life. Since we tend to be our own worst
enemy, we’re always hardest on ourselves. So I would use EFT
for my frustration levels on things such as (1) not having
enough financial income, (2) not completing projects, (3)
not staying focused on projects, (4) being mad at myself for
spending money instead of saving it, (5) having to do
everything myself because I didn’t have money to hire
others, etc.
My emotions settled
down immediately. And I was pleasantly surprised to find
that the effects spilled over into other areas of my life
that I had not yet specifically used EFT for. The best part
was that this included all the little things in my life that
used to get me upset.
Through my years of
helping addicts I’ve noticed that almost every person used
their addiction in response to some emotional stimulus.
While people would search to uncover what their triggers
were, even after they were identified people still had
problems resolving that emotional trigger. Knowledge alone
did not change it. Praying to God to take it away or teach
the addict how to react differently also seemed to fail at
times.
From my personal
experience with EFT and looking at the testimonies on how
EFT helps people overcome these emotional triggers, I
believe this method can help addicts quickly get unstuck
from having these emotional triggers appear, and also
overcome using their addiction as an escape.
The purpose of this web page is to
provide you with some resources that will give you a basic
understanding of EFT and all the ways it can be used.
www.emofree.com – Gary Craig, the founder of EFT,
is retiring and may take down his website soon. Until then,
I suggest you download his free manual as quickly as
possible. I also suggest you do a search on his website for
issues you’re dealing with, even unrelated to your addiction
problem. When you find articles and/or phrases that apply to
you, copy them to your computer for future reference. Again,
his website may be shutting down as early as March 1, 2010.

Disclaimer: While
EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still
be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus
practitioners and the public must take complete
responsibility for their use of it. Further, I am not a
licensed health professional and I offer EFT as a personal
performance coach. Please consult qualified health
practitioners regarding your use of EFT.
